Make the right pole easier to identify.
A field-visible identifier pilot built around reporting accuracy, reversibility and a clean operational handoff.
Request a detailed brief
Concept rendering / not an authorized installationWhat needs to be understood?
A malfunctioning streetlight is visible. The correct pole reference is not always obvious to the person reporting it. Without an unambiguous identifier, a simple report can require avoidable clarification.
What is being proposed?
Test a reversible, field-visible tag along selected residential corridors. Preserve existing asset numbering; do not assume IT integration or database changes. A QR element, if used, would route to an existing public reporting resource.
What is inside the test?
2,000 proposed pole locations across selected corridors; 12-week proposed evaluation window. Physical design, permissions, installation responsibilities and final sample plan remain subject to utility review.
How would we know?
Before-and-after rate of correct pole-ID citation; day/night legibility checks; installation and removal effort; field feedback; any unintended reporting consequences.
What would the result decide?
Does improved identification justify an institution-led next phase, a design revision, or discontinuation? A ≥20% improvement in correct ID citation is the proposed target, not a measured outcome.
The question, made measurable.
Illustrative evaluation structure. Actual implementation, criteria and results require the institution’s review and authority.
